The Google Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information when you use Google's products and services, including information provided when you use Google Co-op. In addition, the following describes our privacy practices that are specific to Google Co-op.

Personal information
  • You need a Google Account to use the Google Co-op service. Google asks for some personal information when you create a Google Account, including your email address and a password, which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access.
  • When you sign up for Google Co-op, you have the option of creating a profile page for yourself. This profile may include a nickname you provide to us, a photo, your geographical location, and other user information. If you create a profile, all the contents of the profile will be publicly available.
  • If you have a profile, other users will be able to view each site that you have labeled, other users whose labels or subscribed links you have signed up for, and any subscribed links you provide.
  • Google collects and maintains information about your activity on Google Co-op, including the labels and links you subscribe to, lists of other users that have subscribed to your labels or links, and your preferred settings when using Google Co-op.
Uses

In order to provide the service, all the information described above is collected and maintained on Google servers. In addition, we may combine the information you provide when using Google Co-op with information from other Google services or third parties in order to provide you with a better experience and to improve the quality of our services.

Your choices
  • You may update or change your user profile at any time by going to your profile page. You may also delete your profile by clicking on the "Delete My Co-op Account" button on the profile page, but doing so will terminate your use of the service.
  • You may edit or delete labels, change the users whose labels and links you are subscribing to, and otherwise set your Google Co-op preferences by signing into the Co-op Homepage any time. Information you delete from the service, will not be viewable by other users, and will only be retained by Google on a non-personally identifiable basis.
  • You may terminate your use of the service at any time by clicking the "Delete My Co-op Account" button on your profile page, and information associated with your use of the service will be deleted.
  • Information you delete from the service, whether within the service or as a result of terminating your use of the service, will not be viewable by other users and will only be retained by Google on a non-personally identifiable basis.
